Is it worth the detour?

For a first visit, Visit Navarra’s documented block is the Bardena Blanca from Arguedas: about 25 km and 2 hours, with Castildetierra, if that stretch is open. It is not a promise about the whole park in one day. First visit.

Do I need a hire car?

Yes for the tracks. There is no bus to the piste. Tudela is the town with the train; the usual gate is Arguedas, NA-8712 km 0.8. How to get there.

How many hours do I need?

The documented first-visit car block is Visit Navarra’s: about 25 km and 2 hours from Arguedas, plus the centre and stops. First visit · two days.

Can I go in a normal car or do I need a 4x4?

Visit Navarra advises against sports cars and minis. The park allows motor vehicles only on authorised tracks, at 40 km/h. A 4x4 does not open a closed track. By car.

What if it has rained?

The park advises against entering when rain has damaged tracks and paths. A clear sky in the village does not open a closed stretch. By car.

What are the hours?

From 8 a.m. until one hour before nightfall. In winter Visit Navarra says to leave before 16:30. The information centre keeps another calendar. Hours and rules.

Do I have to pay to enter?

On 14/09/2026 neither Visit Navarra nor the services page published a ticket office. The ordinance allows a public price; none was published that day. Hours and rules.

Where do I stay?

Can I take a motorhome in, and where do I sleep?

By day, authorised tracks only. Sleeping inside is forbidden. Verified municipal aires are in Arguedas and Fustiñana, outside the park. Motorhomes.

What is Castildetierra?

The cabezo of the Bardena Blanca, on the track from Arguedas. You do not climb it. It is not Cabezo de Cortinillas, whose path was still closed on 14/09/2026. Castildetierra.

Can I fly a drone?

Not for tourism or recreation. A filmed drone needs permission, including because of the military zone. Rules.

Can I bring a dog?

Yes, identified and on a lead of 3 metres maximum. Not inside park buildings. Rules.

When should I go?

There is no official best month. The manager describes hot summers, cold winters and wind. The useful date is one when your stretch is open. When to visit.

Where do I rent a buggy or a quad?

They are motor vehicles: same tracks, 40 km/h, no groups of five or more. Confirm the price with the company. Buggy · quad.

Is it a good trip with children?

Yes if the plan is short, with water and the authorised walk (Castildetierra, 1.15 km, if it is open). With children.
